The buyer-funded model

Who pays Signal View?

Buyers cover our fees. You don’t pay Signal View for an initial conversation, an introduction or a completed sale. Here’s how that works.

01

The buyer funds our work

Buyers agree to pay Signal View for our acquisition sourcing and introduction work. We learn about businesses and owner priorities, look for a possible fit and make introductions with the owner’s permission. Our fee arrangements are with the buyer.

02

No Signal View fee to the owner

We charge owners no retainer or success fee. You do not need to retain Signal View or sign an exclusive owner engagement to consider an introduction. You remain free to consider other conversations and approaches.

03

Other costs if you proceed

Signal View charges owners no fee for our work. If you pursue a transaction, costs for legal, accounting, tax, valuation, and other services may apply separately under the arrangements you make.

04

Your priorities shape the conversation

Tell us what you want from a possible sale and what you’re unsure about. Timing, employees, your future role and other priorities help us consider whether a buyer may be a fit. You decide what information to share and whether to keep talking.

05

An introduction is one step

An introduction gives both sides a starting point for discussing fit. You, the buyer and your respective advisers work through price, terms, financing and diligence if you choose to continue. You can move forward, pause, or pass on the opportunity.

06

Questions to bring into the conversation

Ask how the process works, what information would be shared and why a particular buyer might fit your business. If you’re concerned about timing, privacy or how much work will fall on you, bring that up too.

Start with your questions.

You don’t need to have a sale planned. Tell us what you’re considering and what you would want to understand before meeting a buyer.
