For Arizona business owners
Thinking about selling
your Arizona business?
Maybe you’re ready for a change. Maybe you just want to know who might be interested. Either way, you still have a business to run. You can start asking questions about a sale without putting the company on the market.
No fee to Signal View. No exclusive engagement.
You can start with a conversation
Find out whether there’s something worth exploring.
Someone may have asked about buying the company. Retirement might be getting closer. Or you still like the work, but you’re tired of being the person every decision comes back to.
You don’t need a firm exit date to talk with us. Signal View is based in Gilbert and focuses on Arizona owners, starting with Greater Phoenix and the East Valley. First, we learn about the business and what you want. Then we look for buyers who may be a fit.
We don’t publish a listing of your business. We ask before sharing its name and a high-level summary with selected buyers. We also ask before introducing you. You decide whether to keep talking.
Buyers cover our fees, so there’s no charge to you. There’s no exclusive engagement with Signal View either. You can explore an introduction and keep your options open.
How our introductions workBeyond the price
What would have to work for you?
A number can get your attention. There are still other questions to answer. How would the purchase be funded? What would the buyer expect from you after closing? Would you want to stay involved, and for how long?
Your employees, customer relationships and company name may matter just as much. It helps to talk about those things early, before everyone gets too far down the road.
As conversations progress
The day job doesn’t stop.
A good first call is encouraging. There’s still a lot to work through. A buyer needs an answer you haven’t had time to pull together. You’re waiting on them, too. Or you find out you had different ideas about how long you’d stay after closing.
We stay in touch, follow up on questions and help keep the next steps clear. You, the buyer and your advisers handle the negotiations, diligence and terms. Some conversations lead to a deal. Others don’t.
The first call
Tell us what’s on your mind.
Start with what the company does, how involved you are day to day, and why you’re considering a change. A rough sense of earnings is helpful if you know it. So is knowing what you’re unsure about.
You don’t need a presentation or a data room for that conversation. We don’t ask you to send financial documents to us. If things move forward, you and the buyer work through further information requests and confidentiality arrangements, with your advisers as needed.
If you only want to explore for now, say so. If there are people you don’t want approached or information you don’t want shared, tell us before we discuss the business with anyone.
What to share before a buyer introductionBased in Gilbert. Looking beyond Arizona.
The buyer doesn’t have to be local.
We prioritize privately held, founder- and family-owned businesses in Arizona and source buyers nationally. We consider businesses across most industries. We look at what a buyer wants to do, how they would fund a purchase and whether their plans make sense for your business.
Our core focus is businesses with $1M to $5M in annual EBITDA. That means earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. Larger businesses are welcome. If you’re below that range or unsure where you fit, tell us a little about the business. We can talk it through.

Questions you may have before calling.
Clarity before commitment.
Can I talk to buyers without putting my business on the market?
Through Signal View, you can explore selected buyer introductions without a public listing or an exclusive engagement with us. We first discuss the business and your priorities. We need to find a suitable buyer and have your permission before introducing you. There may not be a buyer available right away.
Will my employees or customers find out?
We don’t publish a listing of your business. We ask before sharing identifying information with selected buyers. Tell us about any restrictions before we approach anyone. Privacy also depends on how the people involved handle information. We can’t promise that word will never get out.
Do I have to pay if an introduction leads to a sale?
No. Owners never pay Signal View a fee. Buyers compensate us under their agreement with us. Any fees you agree with your own lawyers, accountants or other advisers are separate.
What if I want to stay involved after a sale?
Tell us what you have in mind. We prefer full acquisitions and also consider majority acquisitions. A future role or retained ownership depends on what you and the buyer agree. We consider those preferences when reviewing whether an introduction may make sense.
Do you only work with businesses in Gilbert or the East Valley?
No. We are based in Gilbert, with an initial focus on Greater Phoenix and the East Valley, but we welcome opportunities throughout Arizona and nationally. Buyers are sourced across the country.
When you want to talk
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Tell us a little about the business and what you’re considering. We can start there.
