Before our call
Thanks for booking.
Here’s what to expect.
You replied, we set a time. This page covers what we’ll talk about, what you don’t need to prepare and what happens after. Nothing more is expected of you before we speak.

What we’ll cover
On the first call we cover four things.
- What the business does and how much of it runs through you.
- Roughly what it earns, if you know.
- What you’d want to keep, change or hand off.
- What you’d want to understand before meeting anyone.
If you know rough revenue and earnings, great. If they’re estimates, say so. If you don’t know, that’s fine too.
What you don’t need
No homework.
No presentation, no financial statements, no customer lists, no decision. We won’t ask you to send documents. If things move forward later, information requests come from the buyer, with confidentiality arrangements in place first.
Worth thinking about
Three questions, if you have a minute.
- What would you want to keep, and what would you happily hand off?
- Would you want to stay involved after a sale? For how long?
- Is there anyone you don’t want approached, or anything you don’t want shared?
After the call
You’ll get a straight answer.
If there’s a buyer worth mentioning, we say so and ask your permission before making any introduction. If there isn’t one yet, we say that too. While we look, we check in every couple of weeks so you’re never left wondering.
Meeting a buyer commits you to nothing. You decide whether to continue, pause or pass at every step.
